About the Mushroom Bureau

Established in 1993, the Mushroom Bureau is responsible for the generic publicity of all fresh cultivated mushrooms sold in Britain. It is funded voluntarily by its members who are predominantly mushroom growers and trade alliances to the industry in the UK, Ireland and continental Europe.

The Mushroom Bureau is committed to maximising consumer awareness of the health, taste and versatility of mushrooms through ongoing public relations activity aimed at increasing the consumption of mushrooms in Britain.

The Bureau works closely with food and health writers on consumer magazines, national and regional newspapers, television, radio, and the trade press. The Bureau has an excellent photographic library of cultivated mushrooms and mushroom recipes, along with various printed promotional literature in the form of leaflets, all available to UK media.

The Mushroom Bureau supplies information to organisations involved in the promotion of fresh vegetables.
